About

The story

Hello Friend, I'm Spike. Just a guy obsessed with computers since kid, and with cybersecurity in particular. I built, broke, rebuilt, and kept learning — and I never really stopped. I made my first website very young, taught myself web development and security, and chased every thread that caught my attention.

Curiosity has always been the engine. I built a streaming site at fourteen, sites for companies and for myself, apps on iOS, and a run of games in Unity (2D and 3D, desktop and mobile) that I never shipped. I once tried to rebuild Facemash at my school. At fifteen, exploring the school's computers a little too freely, I took the entire system down — I genuinely didn't understand what I'd done. I just like to explore.

Alongside the code, I've always been pulled toward movies, stories, and games. I've done a lot of video editing — anime edits, documentaries, music videos, montage — and I draw. That visual instinct shows up in how I think about interfaces.

After my diploma in Management Computer Sciences, Covid-era burnout pushed me away from code entirely. I spent three years in music — becoming a sound engineer and composer — partly to be certain that software was really what I wanted. It was. In 2023 I came back with intent: iOS, systems, fundamentals.

Now I'm extremely disciplined. I study every day. I want to become an exceptional software engineer and scientist — and I've always kept the security lens on, through CTFs, bug bounties, and every product I ship. In 2025 I founded my own company, Desert Odes, based in Ireland — the studio behind Tomcabs and Alabasta. What I'm looking for now is a real team: a place to contribute everything I've built alone, and to grow past what I can reach by myself.

Timeline

  1. Kid

    First website

Got obsessed with computers — and with security. Built, broke, and rebuilt anything I could get my hands on.

  2. 14–15

A streaming site, and an incident

Built a full streaming website. Around the same time, exploring the school's computers a little too freely, I brought the whole system down. Nearly got expelled. Didn't stop being curious.

  3. School

    Management Computer Sciences

Graduated during Covid. The era burned me out on computers — so I left to find out if it was really the thing.

  4. 2020–2023

    The music detour

Three years in sound: engineering and composition in Logic Pro X and FL Studio. A real exploration, not a break. Confirmed what I already suspected.

  5. 2023

    Back to the machine

Fell in love with computers again. Went deep on iOS and on how computers actually work underneath the abstractions.

  6. 2024

    Software for companies

Shipped internal systems, apps, management platforms, and websites for real businesses.

  7. 2025

    Founded Desert Odes

Started my own company, Desert Odes, based in Ireland — launched Tomcabs, a taxi management platform now running in production with paying customers, and started Alabasta.
